My name is Shekinah Musyoki, and I’m a WUC first-year marketing student. I was born and raised in the UAE, and I am a highly motivated individual with a strong interest in the arts.
Westford was my first choice for higher education because it allowed me to begin with a foundation year (a very helpful diploma that enhanced my academic development and knowledge of business fundamentals while equipping me to better choose a bachelor’s degree of my interest) and then provided a plethora of business degrees for my bachelors. This type of variety in business degrees, all at an affordable price, piqued my interest in Westford.
I find the atmosphere at college to be very vibrant and exciting quite often. My first impression when I joined was to find the atmosphere to be very friendly and hospitable.
My personal favorites are presentations, class discussions prompted by our professors, and activities involving my classmates. The business environment has provided me with an opportunity to develop my own teamwork, creativity, and organizational skills.
It is the way Westford prepares students for the business world that makes them stand out, not just through what they teach in class, but also through the opportunities they provide outside the classroom that are relevant and yet still allow students to grow academically and personally. Westford provides its students with a wide range of learning experiences from We Connects to field trips that better prepare them for their future career paths.
