Westford University College, Sharjah, in my opinion is one of the best places to acquire tertiary education in the UAE. A practical approach in teaching along with excellent academic feedback extended by the learned and qualified faculty members makes learning a pleasant experience for students of varied intellectual capabilities. The institution remains very supportive in encouraging all students strive towards achieving academic excellence, while literally hand-holding and motivating weaker students by inculcating self-belief and helping them walk on the pathway to achieving greater academic heights.

My daughter Ms. Lakshmi Prasad is presently doing her BABM (Honors) or BA hons in Business Management at Westford. She has now completed the second year.

The method of teaching here is unique, and focuses more on group activities, case studies, and industry visits to various business units which provides  students with a real time experience of how businesses are operated. They also attend ‘mock interview sessions’, and other inter-collegiate activities which develops personality along with soft skills of students, enabling them to build confidence and perform well during interviews as well as in the actual real world circumstances outside. This technique of teaching methodology creates greater interest among students, apart from instilling in-depth understanding of various concepts and application based scenarios when learning several modules within the business management program.

The degree offered carries global validity and is accepted in all geographic locations- from Canada, USA, UK, and Australia, which is an added advantage for the students.

The college practices ‘diversity management’ and has students from multiple nationalities, beliefs systems, and backgrounds, which develops great friendships, and creates an understanding of the various cultures along with mutual respect. The social skills developed in the college is really amazing and has added new persona to deal with life’s ever demanding complexities.

My daughter had a dislike for mugging up and writing exams, followed in many other colleges. However she found the unique system of teaching and evaluation in Westford very attractive, and has started participating better. I am sure it was a very wise decision for my daughter to join this college.

I wish Westford University College greater successes in the years ahead.
