I am an MBA student with Westford University College (WUC) and, a successful Banker with Ecobank Nigeria Limited, one of the top financial institutions in Nigeria. I graduated few years back from a University in Nigeria, got married and devoted my time in raising kids. With work and ambition for a growing career, maintaining a work life balance eventually became challenging. Responsibilities at the personal front restricted me to pursue my desire for higher education. Still with keen interest to work on my self-development, I took several short courses. But the thirst for an affordable and accredited degree kept evolving.
While I was on my pursuit to explore the best affordable option, accredited degree facilitated through online platform became my priority. To commence my journey with WUC, I enrolled for short term Post Graduate Diploma in Strategic Human Resources Management with the duration of three months. During the course, I enjoyed the classes through virtual platform which facilitated strong interaction with professors, done via Learning Management System (LMS) in Westford. Smooth delivery of the course sparked my interest to explore higher degree program with them.
Hence, post successful completion of PG Diploma, I was determined to enroll for MBA program. Presently, I am pursuing my studies and am proud of my decision. Its flexibility is a great advantage for working mothers like me. Moreover, the diverse culture at WUC offers immense networking opportunities which prove to be a big asset for exploring leadership roles in future. Students with diverse experience add to the learning curve within the classroom.
