Abertay University and Westford University College have been partners for over two years, offering Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctorate programs to students worldwide. This collaboration combines Westford’s flexible learning with Abertay’s prestigious degrees, delivering high-quality education across various fields and preparing learners for global careers. This year Westford students enrolled in Master’s programs with Abertay had the unique opportunity to attend their graduation ceremony at the Abertay campus in Scotland, celebrating their achievements in a truly memorable setting.
On November 29th, Caird Hall in Dundee, Scotland, was filled with excitement and pride as Abertay University hosted its Winter Graduation Ceremony. Among the graduates were a group of students from Westford University College, proudly receiving their MBA degrees. They were joined by the CEO of Westford Education Group, Mr. Firoz Thairanil, Co-founder and CEO of Westford University College, Mr. Hanil Haridas, and their Program Leader, Dr. Bindu Nair. The atmosphere was lively, buzzing with pride as families and friends gathered to celebrate this monumental achievement. The hall, adorned with Abertay University banners and flags, added a sense of grandeur to the occasion.
The ceremony began with a vibrant procession of faculty members, proudly dressed in their academic robes, creating an atmosphere of excitement and anticipation. The graduates, seated in their own gowns, radiated pride and a deep sense of accomplishment. Leading the event were Abertay University’s Chancellor, Professor Alice Brown, and Principal and Vice-Chancellor, Professor Liz Bacon, joined by faculty from various schools and departments. In her heartfelt opening address, Professor Brown highlighted the transformative power of education, inspiring the graduates to make meaningful contributions to society.
