Student Service Officer

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive support and guidance to students, addressing their academic, personal, and administrative needs.
  • Assist in resolving student queries, concerns, and issues by providing accurate information and appropriate solutions.
  • Organize and participate in orientation programs to help new students acclimate to the campus environment and its resources.
  • Collaborate with academic advisors to help students understand degree requirements, course sequencing, and academic planning.
  • Maintain accurate student records, ensuring data integrity and compliance with relevant policies.
  • Serve as a liaison between students and various departments, advocating for student needs and representing their interests.
  • Organize workshops, seminars, and events focused on student success, personal development, and career readiness.
  • Stay informed about institutional policies, regulations, and compliance requirements related to student services.
  • Collaborate with faculty, staff, and other departments to enhance student experiences and streamline processes.
  • Gather feedback from students regarding their experiences and use this information to improve services and programs.
  • Maintain regular communication with students through various channels, including emails, newsletters, and social media.
  • Organize and participate in campus events, workshops, and activities to enhance student engagement and community building.

Required skills, abilities and knowledge:

  • Prioritizing students as primary contacts and addressing their needs accordingly.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
  • Knowledge of student administration processes and degree structures.
  • Knowledge of Student Administration and System’s functions and structure, policies, processes and procedures.
  • Evaluating information and data to solve problems and make decisions.
  • Ensuring accuracy and quality when completing tasks.

Education and Experience: 

Bachelor’s degree preferred, plus one year’s related experience in an educational setting.
