There are also positive advantages to having tourists visiting a community. The economic gap between rich and poor gets reduced due to the visit of tourists in a particular area. Tourists who get good treatment in  the community spread awareness and the social outlook also gets changed due to tourism. Negative Effects: Crime, Drugs, and Child Labor in Tourism
Another aspect of tourism that has a negative influence worldwide is the problems associated with child labour. Children are often employed in hotels and other food processing industry associated with the tourism industry in certain areas of the world.
These children are forced to work in hazardous conditions, often for long hours and minimal pay, depriving them of their right to education and a healthy childhood. The demand for cheap labor in tourist hotspots makes these children vulnerable to exploitation, and they become trapped in a cycle of poverty and abuse.
